There are plenty of taxis to and from the airports (International airport as well as Wilson Airport for internal flights). Wilson Airport services the safari areas and coast with its efficient internal air service run by Kenya Airways.
There are scheduled flights to Mombasa, Malindi, Lamu Island and Kisumu on the coast, as well as charter flights to get you into or close to game reserve areas such as the Masai Mara, Amboseli, Mt. Kenya and Samburu.
The Stanley attracts many visitors, on pleasure or business and the Thorn Tree Café is still a very convenient and central meeting place.
Nearby are many shops and just up the street is the curio market full of fascinating narrow alleyways, where you can pick up last minute presents. There are a couple of renowned book shops close to The Stanley, for exquisite full colour coffee table books on African art, culture and landscapes.
